Yaghoub (יעקב) Shirian was born on June 3, 1926, in Kashan, into a distinguished and deeply rooted Jewish family, known for generations in Kashan for their faith, integrity, and adherence to tradition.
In his youth, he moved with his family to Tehran, and years later relocated to Rasht for work.
In 1953, in Tehran, he married the love of his life, Tavous (Mahin) Nosrati. They began their married life in Rasht and later settled in Tehran.
In 1980, Maheen migrated to the United States, and Yaghoub joined his family in Los Angeles in 1985.
In Iran, he worked in the textile business and was known for his honesty and integrity.
After migrating to Los Angeles, he worked alongside his sons in framing, dedicating many years to his work with diligence and pride.
Children and Education
Yaghoub and Maheen had five children:

- Jacqueline
- Joseph
- Jilbert
- Amir
All of his sons studied at prestigious universities in California and became successful engineers.
Jila studied Business Management at the University of Tehran and was sent to the United States on a full scholarship.
Jacqueline graduated in 1979 in Architecture in Tehran and later earned a Master’s in Interior Design in New York.
Joseph Came to US at the age of 16 . Graduated from CSUN in Computer & Electrical Engineering .
Jilbert came to US at the age of 15 . Graduated from CSUN in Electrical engineering.
Amir came to US at the age of 13 . Graduated from UCLA in Electrical engineering .
The academic success of his children fulfilled a long-standing dream of his.

Yaghoub was the beloved son of Yahazghel Chaim (יחזקאל חיים) and Farang Hezani.
Both were born in Kashan, lived in Tehran, passed away in Tehran, and were laid to rest at Beheshtieh Cemetery, Tehran.
His father passed on August 21, 1975 (26 Av 5735).
His mother passed on June 3, 1995 (5 Sivan 5755).
Farang Hezani was a pioneering businesswoman who managed a large handwoven carpet workshop, playing a key role in the family’s stability and progress.
Yaghoub was the grandson of Abraham Hazani and Sultan, and the great-grandson of Omari Hazani Kashani and Geula.
From this lineage, he inherited faith, perseverance, honor, and adherence to tradition.

Yaghoub was a man of faith, hard work, and devotion to family.
He was dignified, patient, and compassionate, always inspiring those around him and comforting family and friends.
He considered family the greatest treasure in life.
He turned hardships into strength,
challenges into motivation, and left behind a highly educated, successful, and united generation
His legacy continues to live in the generations he nurtured and the values he instilled.
From 2018, he battled illness with patience, faith, and dignity.
On the first night of Rosh Hashanah, September 19, 2020, surrounded by his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren, he peacefully passed away.
His body was laid to rest on September 21, 2020, at Eden Memorial Park, in the Hills of Jacob, Los Angeles.
